Description

Tour includes a visit to the Qantas Engineering Base Maintenance facilities located at Brisbane Airport where over 600 staff carry out Heavy Maintenance on its 737 and A330 aircraft in addition to maintaining Qantas Group A320 and customer aircraft. Covering 6 bays of both Narrowbody and Widebody maintenance in two facilities totaling over 40,000 square meters of maintenance capacity, the tour will include visits to Supply Chain, Hangar 3 and associated workshops.

The Brisbane Base maintenance facilities have been responsible for not just the general heavy maintenance of the Qantas fleet but carrying out significant modifications to the A330, 737 and A320 fleets through major reconfigurations, inflight connectivity, IFE and major structural modifications and repair. In addition, regional support for customer airline recovery and AOG is centered out of our Brisbane facility with many international airlines utilising the exceptional facilities and staff for time critical and efficient outcomes.
