Steven Miles is Queensland’s Deputy Premier, Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, and Minister Assisting the Premier on Olympic and Paralympic Games Infrastructure.
Steven’s priority is to make sure Queensland realises the opportunity of the next decade as we prepare for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic games and transition to a renewable energy powerhouse.
Steven’s aim is to create good, secure jobs for Queenslanders by supporting the industries Queensland was built on and investing in emerging industries that create new jobs powered by renewable energy and hydrogen.
And to make sure we protect and enhance our Queensland lifestyle by planning for and delivering infrastructure to manage growth sustainably.
As the former Health Minister, Steven led the government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic alongside Queensland’s Chief Health Officer Dr Jeanette Young.
