Scott White BEng(Hons)(Aero), BCom(Fin, Econ), BBus, AdvDip(PM), GAICD, MIEAust, CPEng, EngExec, APEC Engineer, IntPE(Aus), MAIPM, MRMIA.
Scott graduated from the Australian Defence Force Academy in 1990 and started his career as an aerospace engineer in the RAAF before moving into defence industry. As a practicing engineer, most of his time was spent on F-111 aircraft, including aircraft and component MRO, and design engineering. He eventually became Deputy Senior Design Engineer for F-111 Structures and Airframe Systems.
After ten years in the RAAF he worked within Defence Industry, including seven years with an SME and five years with Boeing Defence Australia. He then worked for Brisbane City Council managing a fleet of 1200 city buses as the Senior Executive for Engineering and Asset Management within the public transport division.
In parallel, he was a candidate for the 2007 Federal election with one of the major political parties.
More recently, he has spent six years with Airbus in a number of roles. Of relevance, he was the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Strategy lead for Airbus’ campaign (‘Team Nightjar’) for LAND2097-4. Then in July 2022 he was appointed to the position
of Senior Manager for Strategy and Business Development within the Strategy, Sales and Marketing team of Airbus in Australia Pacific, subsidiary of Airbus Helicopters division. In parallel, he is the AIC Strategy Lead for ‘Team Maier’, Airbus’ response to
JP9102 MILSATCOM (with Airbus Defence & Space UK), and the Australian lead for Advanced Air Mobility (working with Airbus Urban Mobility located in Germany).
Scott’s tertiary qualifications are in engineering, business, economics, finance and project management, while he holds various membership levels within a range of professional industry organisations.
