Air Vice-Marshal Neil Hart (retired) has supported Queensland as the Strategic Advisor for Aviation, Space and Defence since 2018 after a long and successful career with the Royal Australian Airforce (RAAF).
He was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in 2014 for distinguished service.
He is a fighter pilot with career highlights including senior leadership as Deputy Chief of Air Force, and leadership positions in all aspects of joint capability, space, information operations, cyber and electronic warfare. Neil led the Force Structure review for the 2016 Defence White Paper and was subsequently appointed as Head of the One Defence transformation.
Neil lives in Canberra, and in addition to supporting the growth of Queensland’s aerospace industry, continues as the senior mentor of the ADF Airworthiness Board as well as filling other aerospace industry advisory and board roles.
