Chrissie has been in the aviation industry since 1990, firstly as an EASA B1 Licenced Engineer in the United Kingdom working for Air UK and Flybe, before moving to Australia in 2004 and gaining her CASA B1 Engineering Licence. During this period with the Part 145 Chrissie has worked in both the heavy and line maintenance environments in various positions including as shift supervisor.
In 2009 Chrissie moved into Continuing Airworthiness Management gaining her first post holder (form 4) position as a maintenance controller under the Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR) and has since held the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) and/or Responsible Manager (RM) post holder positions under the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) for other airlines. In 2018 Chrissie joined Pacific Air Express (PAE) as CAM and lead the successful team with the start-up of the AOC/CAMO, with the airline subsequently being granted their first CASA Part 42 approval.
Chrissie holds a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Delegation CASR 91.Y MELs (formally under CAR 37) and two CASA Instruments under in CAR 42 M & R (SOM/AMP) and CASR Part 21 for the issuance of Import/Export CofA’s & SFPs. She is continuing her learning journey having recently completed her Graduate Certificate in Business Administration as part of her MBA studies.
Chrissie has held senior management positions over the last 10 years directly reporting to the GM or CEO of the airlines including Virgin, Pacific Air Express and in 2022 she joined Nauru Airlines where she currently holds the position of Head of Airworthiness and holds the CAM and RM post holder positions.
