Air Commodore Jackie Churchill has extensive system acquisition and s upport experience with United States Navy platforms through Foreign Military Sales and Cooperative Programs including; P-8A Poseidon, F/A-18F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler, F/A-18 Classic Hornet, AP-3 Orion, MH-60 helicopters, and nuclear powered submarines.
Jackie joined the Air Force as a Logistics Officer and has had a variety of roles. Highlights include, her deployment to Middle East Area of Operations during Operations Falconer and Bastille; as the Supply Liaison Officer in the United States Navy Inventory Control Point in Philadelphia, USA supporting all Australia’s US Navy common aviation platforms; as the Commanding Officer and Logistics Manager of the Air Combat Electronic Attack Systems Program Office in 2017 and 2018; and in 2019 upon promotion to Group Captain she was appointed as the Officer Commanding of Air Lift Systems Program Office in RAAF Base Richmond responsible for C-130 Hercules and C-27 Spartan aircraft and systems support.
Jackie is a graduate of the Defence Strategic Studies Course, has a Masters of Sustainment Management from the University of New South Wales, and is a Board Member for the not-for-profit Two Green Threads Ltd. In January 2022 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for her exceptional service in aerospace acquisition and sustainment.
During 2022 and 2023 she was posted into the Nuclear Powered Submarine Task Force (now the Australian Submarine Agency) as the inaugural Director General Capability Support to provide her extensive experience acquiring and supporting complex systems.
Air Commodore Churchill took up her current post as Director General Air Lift and Transport Systems in 2024 where she is a program manager responsible for supporting; KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport, C-17A Globemaster III, C-130J Hercules, C-27A Spartan, and the BBJ 737 and Falcon 7X Special Purpose Aircraft and their systems.
