Profile

Ryan has significant aviation and business experience in both crewed aviation and RPAS operations. Ryan studied aerospace engineering before flying, working as a grade one flight instructor on the east coast and transferring that knowledge to the emerging RPAS industry. Ryan founded a CASA approved RPAS training organisation in 2017 which has seen him travel nationally and overseas delivering training, presenting on key developments, and supporting the establishment of innovative RPAS operations across both the private and government sectors. As head of the RPAS and Autonomous Technologies business unit at Aviation Australia, Ryan manages operations for several tertiary institutions and works closely with industry and regulators to develop the training & skilling needed to support growth in both RPAS and autonomous operations.
