Glynn is an in-house Solicitor and Legal Officer for the Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers Association. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. In his current role, he provides strategic advice on a variety of crucial areas, including regulatory compliance, maintenance error investigations, just culture, industrial relations, dispute resolution, and contract and enterprise agreement negotiations. He also represents the Association through written and oral advocacy in various forums.
Before stepping into his current role, Glynn's career journey was marked by diverse experiences in both the military and civil sectors. His roles as an industrial officer, a maintenance manager, a section commander of a forward repair team at the 6th Aviation Regiment, and an aircraft maintenance engineer have equipped him with a unique set of skills and a deep understanding of the industry.
Glynn uses his experience to strongly advocate for LAME career progression opportunities, particularly for using defence-trained personnel to translate into the civil sector, where their skills and expertise can be utilised and refocused to increase the pool of highly qualified and skilled aircraft maintenance engineers.
Glynn holds a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
